Chiropractic

Chiropractic is an integrative medicine based on the diagnosis and adjustment treatment of misalignments of the joints, especially those of the spinal column, which are believed to cause other disorders by affecting the nerves, muscles, and organs. The adjustment has been proven to to realign the spine and improve range of motion in the joints as well as remove pressure from the nervous system, improving the body’s function and decreasing pain.

Science has found that the nerve system controls all other organs and tissues of the body, so a nerve system functioning at its best facilitates the body's ability to coordinate its many functions.

Soft Tissue Myo-facial Release

Soft-Tissue Myo-Facia Release is a safe and very effective hands-on technique that involves applying gentle sustained pressure into the connective tissue to eliminate pain, break down fibrous tissue, align the segments of the spine and enhance motion and movement of both muscles and joints. This technique is profoundly effective and lasting. It results in:  increased postural alignment, increased flexibility and strength, decreased pain and inflammation in muscles, releases stuck tissues that prevent full range of motion in joints, heals sport-related injuries.

Acupuncture

According to Traditional Chinese Medicine, health is achieved by maintaining the body in a "balanced state"; disease is due to an internal imbalance of yin and yang. This imbalance leads to blockage in the flow of Qi (vital energy) along pathways known as meridians. Qi can be unblocked, according to TCM, by inserting fine acupuncture needles at specific points on the body that connect with these meridians, to balance the flow of energy and restore the body's natural state of health. There are at least 14 meridians or main channels connecting the body in a web-like interconnecting matrix of at least 2,000 acupuncture points widely used to treat many different illnesses, and to maintain good health.

A few conditions that can be helped with acupuncture include: Sprains & sports injuries. Back Pain, Osteoarthritis, Shoulder/Elbow pain, Headaches, Strokes, Bell’s Palsy, Neuralgia, Bladder problems, Muscular Dystrophy, Digestion issues such as constipation/diarrhea, Colitis, Respiratory infections, Asthma, Sinusitis, Allergies, Menstrual irregularities, Nausea, Depression, Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, Labor enhancement and more

Mindful Stress Reduction

Emotional stress or trauma can cause a physio-pathological state in the body, which is sometimes difficult to resolve. Dr. Breiner has developed a Stress Reduction Program to normalize unresolved physical, emotional and/or behavioral patterns in the body and assist the body and mind in the healing process. This is accomplished by identifying and balancing unresolved emotional conflicts and stress and utilizing mindful meditations, Neuro-Emotional Technique, Emotional Freedom Technique, exercises, emotional affirmations and personal gratitude goal inspiration to change negative patterns into a relaxed, deep healing and calmness throughout the body and mind.  The techniques will create lasting decreases in pain and tension in the body, create greater energy and enthusiasm for life, an increased ability to relax, improved self-esteem, and an increased ability to cope more effectively with stressful situations.

Clinical Nutrition

The food you eat has a direct impact on your life. It impacts the way you feel, your level of energy, how you think, your mood, your sleep, your weight, your digestion, your hormones, your overall health. Optimum nutrition is important for immune system strength and adaptability, sports performance, stress and allergy resistance and nourishing brain and body for adequate learning and growth. It is wise to choose your foods carefully and respect your body and mind by enjoying plenty of fruits and vegetables, good quality proteins, healthy anti-inflammatory fats (such as flax, coconut oil and fish) and fiber rich foods. Occasionally the body needs additional support. Dr. Breiner has clinical knowledge to discover nutritional deficiencies, dis-biosis (irritated digestion) and will recommend specific supplements with a specific whole food nutrition plan.

Hormone Balancing

Hormones are chemical messengers that are produced by the endocrine glands and are carried by the bloodstream. Hormones are involved in just about every biological process: immune function, reproduction, growth, calcium utilization,  metabolism and weight management, emotional state, sleep cycle, and they even control other hormones. By analyzing hormone utilization and maintenance by the different endocrine glands, we can gain an understanding on the health and vitality of the person and facilitate the delicate endocrine balance.

Allergy Elimination

The first step in this process is to gain an understanding on what is causing the allergy and imbalance and then using various alternative techniques, we can de-sensitize the body and clear the blood, lymph, cells and body from the allergen. This kind of de-sensitization is very effective in detoxifying the body and clearing the body of toxic reactions and adverse symptoms.

Cranio-Sacral Therapy

The Cranio-Sacral system (CST) is comprised of the membranes and cerebrospinal fluid that surround and protect the brain and spinal cord. Cranio-Sacral therapy is a gentle, hands-on method of evaluating and releasing restrictions in the Cranio-Sacral system to improve the functioning of the Central Nervous System. By complementing the body's natural healing processes, CST is increasingly used as a preventive health measure for its ability to bolster resistance to disease, and is effective for a wide range of medical problems associated with pain and dysfunction. It is also important for babies and children to mold the nervous system efficiently. Sports injuries such as concussions can off-set and damage the Brain and  Nervous System, and CST has been proven to refocus and reset this imbalance very effectively.

Applied Kinesiology

Applied Kinesiology (AK) is a unique system for evaluating body function. The body is a self-regulating mechanism and when health is lost, something is interfering with the body’s adaptability and its ability to cope with different stresses. Examination using AK is directed toward how the body is dys-functioning, the cause of the dys-function, and the therapeutic efforts that will enable it to regain and maintain health. Muscle testing can be thought as functional neurology and the correct treatment reestablishes balance and strength to the muscle and body.

Cold Laser Therapy

Cold Laser Therapy or Low Level Laser Therapy (LLLT) is a treatment that utilizes specific wavelengths of light to interact with tissue and is thought to help accelerate the healing process. It can be used on patients who suffer from a variety of acute or chronic conditions in order to help eliminate pain, swelling, reduce spasms and increase functionality. Over 4000 studies have been conducted in recent years to validate the effectiveness of cold laser therapy. Cold Laser is widely used to treat wounds, inflammation of any kind, Acute and chronic pain, sprains/strains, tendonitis, bursitis, fibromyalgia, reduced vascular activity, reduced fibrous scars and adhesions, stimulates nerve function and more.

Graston Technique

Graston technique is an evidence based form of instrument-assisted soft tissue mobilization that enables clinicians to effectively address scar tissue and facial restrictions through comprehensive training, resulting in improved mobility and function of the body and reduction in pain. The technique uses specially-designed steel instruments, along with appropriate therapeutic exercise, to specifically detect and effectively treat areas exhibiting soft tissue fibrosis or chronic inflammation. This techniques helps with sports injuries, joint pain, muscle spasm and restrictions in range of motion.   The human body possesses a unique potential for recovery and balance through the innate intelligence and potential of the body. We offer you whole-body health care with the opportunity to enjoy wholesome wellness in every facet of your life. We trust that you will find relief and a sense of peace within our practice and we look forward to working with you and your family.

Cupping

Cupping therapy is an ancient form of alternative medicine in which a therapist puts special cups on your skin for a few minutes to create suction. People get it for many purposes, including to help with pain, inflammation, blood flow, relaxation and well-being, and as a type of deep-tissue massage.

“The Doctor of the future will give no medicine, but will interest his patient in the care of the human frame, in diet and in the cause and prevention of disease.”
